12 Mile creek- $5499
Located in the 12 Mile Mining District In Douglas County Oregon, this listing is for a lot of 4 mining claims totaling 80 Acres with over a mile of 12 Mile Creek running through them. There is a road the follows alongside the creek for the entire length of the claims. The creek ranges from 50′-700′ from the road. This means the claim offers fairly easy access for anyone of good health and great privacy. There are multiple campsites throughout the claim, and the lower elevation offers year around access via the well-maintained gravel road.
Nearly the entire 80 Acres is underlaid with ancient, cemented riverbed and seabed. Surface gravels tend to produce between 0-5 colors per pan and bedrock tends to produce between 5-30 colors per pan. While panning on this claim we have found many “fish scale” sized picker flakes. These claims are “ESH” meaning they are open to panning, sluicing, sniping, metal detecting, highbanking, and gravity dredging. However, they are not open to motorized suction dredging.
